03044 - Superb Pyritized 0.70'' Mimagoniatites Devonian Cephalopod Mawsonia with a premium quality enamelImpressive example of this Devonian cephalopod. It is naturally pyritized. It has undergone a taphonomic process of permineralization in Iron Sulfide (Pyrite). Permineralization is a process of fossilization in which mineral deposits form internal casts of organisms. The characteristic lines of suture of this cephalopod of the Paleozoic can be perfectly observed. Nice specimen.
